Need answers on exhaust

Well, i had my Apexi N1 muffler installed. Its quiet because of the stock piping. I did this because they said our exhausts were good and the only thing we need changed are the mufflers for sound. Well, i want new 2.25" piping now. What should i have EXACTLY done to my exhaust so i can keep my old piping intact and be able to bolt the old one up at any time?

from what ive read our mufflers dont restrict flow unless your over 200hp, the mid-pipe is the restricting part on our exhaust.

i heard that they both are not very restricting at all. He told me that and that if our exhaust are to be modified its basically only for sound.

I noticed a decent gain after installing my greddy evo...there was a noticeable difference when comparing the stock midpipe with the midpipe on the evo.

okay, well all i need to know is what to EXACTLY tell them to do when i get to the muffler shop.

just have them unbolt the old midpipe, and ask to have new flanges made. Be sure your also able to reuse the old donut gasket at the end of the stock midpipe(by the resonator).

i talked to a muffler shop today also about getting mine done. the guy there told me that i will loose alot of low end if i go with a 2 1/4 inch mid pipe. is that true? i know i would loose a little low end i just dont want to loose to much.

on another note is there a good dual tip aftermarket high performance muffler>?

yea, they told me that Civics need a resonator not to loose power. So if i want to go with a 2.24" midpipe i would need a resonator.
