What's the hood intake for?

Being an ex-WRX owner, I have a soft spot for hood intakes.... BUt, it's gotta be functional... none of those Ford non-functional Mustang hood intakes... Ugh!! :mad:

I love Japanese kanji on civics and other cars!! And I love how they have "sake" and the second kanji looks an awful lot like "10,000". Of course I sucked it up at kanji when I took japanese, so I might be wrong.

The mag is called redline and its from the u.k., you get cool cars and naked chicks. I live right behing cafe iguanas on the corner of university.

Do any of you think that the hood with the scoop will actually come out for us to buy? I know it doesn't have any use on our car but if given the choice of an oem carbon fiber hood and that one I would pay the little extra for it.
