How in the hell did you do that? Today, I finally got a clear road and I about fell asleep waiting to get there. 0-110 was fine, it started getting kinda slow at 120. And after that I said forget it. Are you guys lowered that did this, maybe it's the wind blasting me down. Anyway...

There are alot of conditions you have to factor in....wind, temperature..etc....I drive on highways all the time so I'm constantly taking my si over 110mph..its just so hard not to do. :D

You should try taking 4th out till you hit the rev limiter once..the car pulls strong all the way..might help u get past 110 quicker...I don't seem to have any problems...windy days have a big affect on speed, not to mention control of the car with all that wind.

Got mine up to about 108mph (maybe 110) this past weekend before I ran out of clean air (road). It does pull hard in 4th! Not sure when I will get to go this fast again...maybe on my next trip to Seattle...I might have H&R Springs by then. ;)

your speedo was probably off because of the different tire rim package. What tire size were you running with the 17's?

on stock tires, i can get the speedo up to 120 no problem. from 120 to 130 takes about 7-8 seconds, but with stock tires, there's so much slippage that i'm probably not gaining any speed at all even though the speedo says i am.

at those speeds, if your speedo says 120, you can expect it to be about 5% or more off. and the margin of error gets significantly higher after that.

i will say though, right now with my back seat out, estella is fast as shiot. she gets up to 110 in a hurry, and flys to 125 from there.

Gone up to 120 in fifth gear rpm was at 5500.

btw, I'll throw in that the max speed allowed by gearing is 143mph.

That's assuming 1) stock tire size, gearing, 2) fuel cut at 7000rpm.

theoretically, at 5500rpm, you'd be doing 112mph.

note that these figures do not take into account traction, wind, etc., and torque required to actually achieve those speeds.

Are u sure?? maybe wind, traction and other stuff does mean alot

Ive hit 121mph and Im bone stock. It took nothing at all to get to 110 mph in my car, but after that it took some time to get to 121mph. I think I still had more room to go but Im scared to keep pushing it. I might be able to hit 125mph. Who knows.

if they were off, bigger rims & tires would mean that ur going faster that what the speedo says...... so he should have been going a few mph over than what it says if it actually is off (unless he got really thin tires makin the the overal radius smaller)

well, if it was off it was only off by .2% too slow, which means you were going faster than the speedo showed

A good simple way to test your speed is by gps. You can pick them up pretty cheap and the current speed setting is very acurate.:)

I have taken my car up to 130-135 several times already. I reach the redline between every shift. My car is bone stock. I do feel alittle slippage from the wheels, But I feel that it's just the factory tires that suck with grip anyway..

I hit over 130 i think 135 or 136. i belive its 136. so i say 136. Bone stock. in 4th it pulls!
