My EP getting good gas mileage

My EP has been averaging about 27.5 MPG with 70/30 highway/city mileage since I got it beginning of Jan/03.

I filled up right before my trip from Philly to Towson, MD today, roundtrip was 219.8 miles & it used 7.16 gallon of gas=30.7 MPG!

Still can't beat my brother's 89 Si (he is the original owner) with 250,000 miles and getting 40 MPG on the highway:D

these cars seem to get good mileage in stock form, if you begin to mod it, certain mods can cause increased consumption from what we've been hearing and I've experienced that myself.

In more basic discription, I find driving enthusiastically I return 240-250 miles to a full tank of gas. If I drive the entire week shifting @ or below 3k I am getting 305-318 miles to a tank:o


I really think it has a lot to do with the way our I-VTEC retards timing when your foot isn't otherwise glued to the floor. It's like the car either wants to be ran wide open all the time or pretend it' a hybrid???

Usually I got 28-30 mpg on mine, thats with screwing around a lot too!!:D

Mine did 275 miles w/fuel tank!!! is it normal?
I used to drive my Friends Vehicross sometimes and that thing eats gas like crazy!:)

After 2000 miles my mpg's changed from 25 to 28/29 mpg. Thats driving pretty aggressive. just my .02

just calculated mine. i'm at 2400 and my mpg average is 27
