Well I painted the engine cover and it looks really good.
I used 600 grit sand paper and some (platinum silver) Dupli-Color spray paint from autozone..

Nice Job, how did you mask off the I-VTEC decal? If it's not too hard, I may do that as well.

that looks great. i wanted to do something with mine as well.....i cant see paying over 100 bucks for the same piece at honda or on ebay...especially when you can do something like that and it looks just as good if not better.
can you tell us what you did exactly?

At my dealership, I noticed they've got an Injen engine cover now.
The one I saw was Chrome, but I guess they've got different colours too. Can't say I liked it too much.
Yours looks good though!

After I removed the cover I cut out some
news paper that almost covered the i-vtec
decal and then carefully taped around the paper
to totally cover up the decal only. Then I sanded
it with the 600 grit sandpaper just to take off some
of the texture. Cleaned it then painted it ..

I used (platinum silver) Dupli-Color spray paint from
auto zone.. It was an easy mod and came out very good.
I dont open my hood enough to buy the cover.

you should clean the rest of your engine so that it looks as good as the cover :D

Looks excellent - like the way it should've left the factory. Silver is nice and classy - no loud reds or blues or anything... thumbs up from me, sir... :)
