I am trying to decide now whether to keep my ep and turbo it, or just go and get a new 350Z. I just signed with a company so money is not a big deal. What do u guys think is the ep going to turn out to be good to modify?

Turbo. And do post pic's and dyno's if you do.

As cool as the 350 is, I'd keep your ep, its always cool to have a fast underdog.

With a turbo kit the stock K20 is putting out 270hp at only 7psi, thats crazy. Imagine if you swapped a k24 and blew it to kingdom come.

too many 350z out now.. i see them more than EPs... i barely see eps out. keep it and turbo it. theres a revhard turbo thats out already. someone post it. 240 and 190 tq to the wheels at 7psi.

Try driving a C230 Kompressor Coupe with six speed... Drive it like you steal it...

EP is great bang for the bucks... but if you have $$$, there are some cars out there worth look at....

 dear lord....and extra 80 hp with the k20a3 with 7psi? i must be in heaven....MAN THATS AWSOME! i had no clue...wow HOW much does the revhard one cost? ALso how do our "internals" hold up? i only know a little bit about turbo but those are some great values....OOO i would love to have one of those! bye bye mustang, bye bye new accord v6, bye bye a whole bunch of other cars!

if i had sufficient funds i would take the ugly egg/space ship that nobody likes and do some major weight reduction...and go sleeper with a turbo....it would be the talk of the town! PSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

80hp? we're pushing about 150 to the wheel right now with basic bolt ons. If the RevHard turbo is putting 270 to the wheel with their bolt on kit + more fuel, that's 120hp.:)

I agree with my fellow EPers, go turbo. I've see a 350Z every other day. And two of my neighbors already have it so to me now it's more joy to see another EP than the 350Z. Don't get me wrong, the Z is a sweet car, but the EP has just grown on me so much.

u signed with a company?
dunno what that means but if money is no object for you now, a 350Z would be a nice platform to build.
6-speed, RWD, gorgeous styling...
only thing that sucks is Nissan Service dept'...
maybe look into the G35 6-speed...
basically the same car, i actually think it looks better than the Z...
in general nissans depreciate like a brick though...
my maxima dropped from $23k to $11k in under 2 years...

DONT RUSH INTO ANYTHING....test drive, test drive, then test drive some more!

No one seemed to mention the fact that the EP is much more practical than the Z. No better feeling than knowing your car can seat 4 adults comfortably and still spank a few domestic V6's without a turbo...

Yep. Four seats are nice, which is exactly why I would get the G35. It looks worlds better than the Z IMHO, gives up very little in performance, and ultimately costs less. Hell, insurance on it is probably lower as well. If I had the ducketts and had to spend my $$ on a family-sympathetic new car, that'd be my first test drive. I'd probably drive the RX-8 as well, though I've spent a good amount of time in them when I was at the Detroit and Chicago shows, and there simply isn't as much room back there as they'd like to have us believe...

definitely stick with the ep. i say this because my ep is used. the guy who traded the car in bought a 350z and let me tell you im glad he did. i love my ep and im looking forward to either a turbo or supercharger, which ever one will quench my thirst for more speed i guess. youd regret selling the ep, remember our cars are underdogs compared to some of the other cars out there:D

I understand the temptation to go for the Z. The first thing you should do is go to my350Z.com and read all the 350 general discussion posts from owners.

This is without doubt the single best way to learn about a car.

The Z has problems. There is an engineering flaw in which the weight is unevenly distributed, causing the tires to wear unevenly. They need to be replaced every 3,000 miles.

That is what the owners are saying.

Snubnose - I'm thinking that "Uneven weight distribution" issue is that too much heft is being routinely placed on the far right pedal.

Are you still going to be in PA?? Or is the company located elsewhere.

I assume you'll be a pharmacist? Pharmacist in Detroit area hardly break $60k upon graduation. Most make around $50k at best.

Lucky you!
