Sounds good too! I just wish it would scream a little more at higher RPM's and not as much at lower RPM's....oh well.

Damn that looks good!
How low do you have your car lowered there? seems really low there. any clearance problems?

It's about three inches down in the back....around two and a half in the front. No clearance probs in teh front, I just have to be careful when rounding the tops of some driveway ramps and really tall speed bumps. It's not really as low as it appears in that pic. Here's another view:

Very subtle....after I got the CAI I noticed substantial top end gain.

Damn! I wish they didn't make the tips so damn big. I hope comptech has no more than a 3" tip.

I spoke with a tech at Thermal and discussed my plans for the car. He said that there would be no problems running a JRSC with the Stealth exhaust. Apparently "minor" modifications include supercharging.....at least with 7 or 8 pounds of boost.

It sounds super deep....maybe a little bit of popping as the RPM's drop, but it still sounds awesome. Outside it sounds just as good...not as deep though.

I love it....the only thing I don't like is that it's loudest at midrange and seems to get quieter at higher (5500ish) rpms.

Is it loud? Could you compare it to something?

Not at loud as most aftermarket systems. .....Maybe an Apex N1...but not quite as cool.

I meant tone wise... A quiet N1 combined witrh the deepness of a Greddy Evo.

Does any1 happen to have sound files of the Thermal exhaust??

I'm still waitin' for mine to show up and I'm very impatient!!!

As a matter of fact, I have a "micro" website run off my computer on cable, so if someone DOES have some I can host them for download for a while...

I'm sure others are intrested in hearing it too....

How do you like it? What you expected? Note that the sound will change a little bit as it breaks in....I think mine still is even after a few weeks. I noticed a change a few days ago...deeper than ever. :D

What makes you think that it will only be good with minor modifications?

(Don't forget to use the quote button at the bottom right of the post so we know who you're talking to/responding to.) He probably said that because the Thermal R&D website states that it is recommended for cars with "mild" modifications....however, as I stated before, they said I'd have no trouble running a JRSC. It's been done many times already.

Yup, but it sounds awesome though. My CAI sorta fills in that high end anyways.

It mellowed out a little bit....not quieter really....maybe just a lil more oomph in the midrange.

Yes, i did mean to mention that thermal recommends that exhaust for mild applications only...but, as was stated earlier, thermal said that it would work fine with a jackson sc...hard to believe but, if that's what they said...so, be it... In my opinion, they are bs'in people so they by it, why else would they make a turbo application exhaust...i could be wrong though...:p if it sounds half as good as the greddy exhaust on my 94 accord, then it must sound good...that exh. was the sh*t...:D

Their turbo application exhausts come with 3" diameter pipe, way too big for our applications. Turbos work best with minimal backpressure so that's why you see larger diameter systems on them. Superchargers, being belt driven, are not affected as much by exhaust restrictions.

Any aftermarket cat-back exhausts(besides going custom) that look the same as stock ?
I think the dual would looks better

SpeedRacer
08-13-2002, 10:08 PM
yes thare is i forget who posted it but dual on one side is not my style i think it is more of a German Gti style to go that way but that is my opinion and i really like dual as in one on each side of the rear but you lose performance if you go that rout so i didn't do it.
