Highlight with mouse the area below:

Garage opener button.
The redish orange round is actually the cap from a can of WD-40. 1" switch fits in the hole but leave just the gap you see covered now. I trimmed off the cap and it fits nicely except for the notches :(

Steps:
1. Solder 2 lead wires from an existing garage opener where it actually closes the circuit.

2. Wire the 2 wires to the switch

3. Put in car.

No more clipping it to the visor.

I might hardwire it to the car later. Have to down the voltage from 12V (car) to 9V (garage opener). Right now it is running on battery.

Button switch is 1" diameter.

Follow the general instructions here:

No, the hazard button is too big. Doesn't fit in the right hole w/o trimming. Also, if you look, the hazard button attachment is very different.

I'll take better pictures during the day time. Car's in the garage. Not enough light and I use ISO200 w/o flash. Thus the noise in the picture.

I would like to see the button you used, if it is the same one my work has them with the micro switch in Red and Blue.

In Europe that side holds the hazard lights, and the left side (where our hazards are) holds a cig-lighter.

Mine is going to be an idiot button. When people get in my car I tell them not to touch anything, and of corse people(like my brother) start F*cking with everything. They cant resist the brite button. When they push it the airbag deploys(slightly modified with a retractible boxing glove:p )

That will teach them:confused:

That part is believed to be the spot for a climate control sensor, AKA, cabin thermostat, that would switch the AC on/off to maintain a certain temp.

but that option is not available in america except on the rsx
