Just finished my tails and thought id post some pics...used a dremel to cut out the hole for the new blinker and wired the top light where the blinker used to be to come on with the brakes...IMO a nice touch to go along with the painted headlights.

Sure, it was pretty easy...I cut the hole for the new blinker to the same size as the old one and just moved the socket...I bought two new blinker sockets and bulbs from http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/auto/jsp/mws/catdisplay.jsp?inputstate=4&catcgry1=Civic&catcgry2=2003&catcgry3=3DR+SI&catcgry4=KA5MT&catcgry5=
and wired it into the black (ground) and white (power for brake) wires that the parking/brake light has.

Which socket did you get? P#1034244 (single filament) reverse light) or P#996540 (double filament) Is this correct? Where did you get the harness for the wires?

socket #5, I used standard red and black wires w/22 gauge insulated butt ends pushed into the socket to connect to the male terminals...they actually hold themselves in damn tight and get a good connection

You do need to remove your bumper, it really isnt that hard at all, I just popped up the clips on top of the bumper and removed the screwes and removed the screw in each wheel well and I believe there are a couple clips also. I left the bottom clips ttached and just popped off the top side of the bumber to get to the screws holding in the bottom of the light housing...The part numbers I used are listed above, if you have any other questions feel free to ask.

Thanks for the link. I have been looking all over the place for honda sockets so I ordered these and the bulbs.

I'm going to do the JDM tail light conversion, along with smoking the lights. I hope everything goes as planned. I only want to take the bumber off once, ya know?

Sorry, I still don't get what the Mod is? I see it, but how is it different than stock?

Just to not be a complete moron :) Anyone heard about the projector lights in the 2004? Oh yeah, definetly getting those :)

I've seen 'em. That is why I'm not really doing anything to the headlights. The tail conversion relocates you blinker from the top circle the outside middle (Unused section next to the reverse light). The bottom light, which is currently the lights running AND the brake light, will be only a lights on light. The top light is only lit when braking. I lost the pic I saw on this site.
