I'm now rolling in a Spa Yellow S2000! The Ep didn't have enough grunt for me.

Any body in the Charlotte, NC area can get a good deal. (I can give you details of the sale, just let me know)

I also have a set of Tein S-tech lowering springs for sale that are still in the box. They lower the car 1.5 inches. Let me know if you're interested. I'll post some pics in the "for sale" forum.

Hey, don't call him a traitor. I've got both the EP and S2000. Yes the S2000 has more grunt, but I don't want it as my daily driver. Congrats on the purchase, and enjoy!

Hendrick Honda in Charlotte wanted to sell me a car real bad.
I checked their web-site Friday night and they had eight 2003 models for sale. I spoke to a sales man and he told me they revieve two new S2000's per month. That told me they hadn't sold one in 4 months. I guess not too many people buy covertables in the winter. Anyway here 's how the deal went.

Total price for the car is $ 36,912.88 I paid $500.00 down (that included my first months payment) on a 60 month lease. They gave me $16,199.40 for my EP (on paper). The payoff on my EP was a little over $20,000.00 I rolled some negeative equity from my previous car. I only had the EP for six months. I'm paying $429.00 per month and the residual vale on the S will be $16,549.40 at the end of the term.

This is the break down on my deal...

2001
Only had 14k miles
HardTop was included
LoJack
CD Changer
Car Cover

They wanted $27,999 for the S2000.
I wanted $15k for the EP and I would have paid close to their asking price.

The final deal worked out like this.

S2000 = $24.9k
EP = $12.8k (9k left on loan)

So, I actually gained $800 the way they wrote it up.

From what I've read on the internet the hardtop option cost anywhere from $2,000 - $4,000.

I pay $460 per mo./60 mos. with 100k mile extended coverage.

Brand new s2000 usually go for $31k before TTL. Right now, you could probably get it for $30k. Did this car come with extras that you didn't mention to us??

Well, if you look at it another way, your EP is worth only $12k trade-in. Since they give you $16k, so you are really looking at $32k for the s2000.

I was going to get an s2000 also. A used 00 for around $24k last year before I bought my car. But since it was going to be my daily driver in Detroit (64 miles roundtrip), it was not feasible. Heck, it is even snowing right now! Damn Detroit weather.

Enjoy your car if it is not snowing still :)

No way you guys are smoking S2000 for $30k plus. Bring it down to invoice, I am sure the dealer will do it. Z35 is currently the strongest contender in sports car segment now. So, S2000 is basically a car you bargain for now. Every Honda dealers in Houston have at least couple of them sitting in their lots.

I owed $20,000.00 on the Si and they only gave me $16,000.00. The sticker on a new S2000 is $33060.00 with no options. Technically I only paid $32,000.00 for S2000.
