Very impressive, nice line up of customer cars(type-R,EVO 8, Porsche). This is one of the first CRV I-VTEC. When installed, i'd like to hear a sound clip. Must be a torque beast.

Few questions about this mod this dude is doing.
Hes putting the rsx type s head on the civic si which is basically teh civic si type r head. Is this a direct bolt on? Like the heads on the old civics and acuras could be interchanged. Also what is the compression ont eh RSX TYPE S's and teh Civic Si's? Secondly, would new pistons be required for this mod? Are our pistons forged right now as well. Cause if this mod goes well and i dont have to replace anything besdes the head and its a direct bolt on im seriously going ot have fun with a weekend project. But id port and polish the head a lil more if i could maybe a 3 angle job. Lastly i plan on putting a turbo in my car. Andif doing this mod would it change anything besides power between a Si with this mod and a stockon? (Actually GUy great news im talking with a company about getting a turbo kit made for our car it wont be out till about June they are finishing up with an IS300 and Saturn right now. So we are next on the list to get one made and produced!) I know it sounds like im rambling on but i have some serious ?'s and they have yet to pos pictures and results of testing so I wanna knwo whats going on. And i wanna make sure that by doing this mod i wont compramize a turbo set up

Ehh, it's a little more than just an A2 head on a K20A3. It's an entirely new engine...hence the big block ep title. I'm assuming it's the K24 out of a CRV. I'm also really anxious to see the final numbers and times....

ok if the rsx-s head on a crv block = K24A2 and the TSX has a K24A2 then wouldn't be a hell of alot easier to just grab a TSX engine (in a few months, of course)?

not sure of the compression on either of those engines. but i guess that should be your benchmark. If you're better than then TSX then you've done good work. ;)

god i cant wait for the warranty to run out and for me to get my business running, I'd so duplicate this (that is, if it produces the numbers I'm expecting (honestly I'm thinking it'd be like 220+/200+ to the crank :P))

Keep us informed man...I'd like to see how a TSX swap measures up to this frankenstein engine...

TSX = 10.5:1 compression and 6800rpm redline

a2 head + k24 block frankenstien = 9.8:1 compression & 8000rpm redline. that's if he stayed with the k24 pistons. if he did the smart thing and grabbed the rsx-s pistons as well, that's 11:1 compression & 8000rpm.

not sure he could use the rsx-s pistons on this frankenstein. If the bore of the engines is different (accounting for the difference in displacement) then he'd have to stay with the pistons in the k24.

Anybody have a listing of bore and stroke of a K24 vs K20?
