Hello,

It looks like that's it for the snow ... I finally got a chance to install my new set of 15" Konig Heliums (bronze). These are really quick pics I took on my way out from work (the sun was going down, so I didn't have much time). The tires are Yoko AVS ES100 205/55R15.

They're nice rims, but IMO 15 inch rims just look ridiculously small on the SiR.

How come you decided on 15s and not bigger? But they look nice none the less....

Nice, I love the color. Please drop it! don't have too be much, but that gravel-rally look doesn't fit our car well

I had my heart set on 16" OZ superleggeras. After looking at my pocketbook, I decided that the $1K CAN I would save going to this rim (not to mention the fact that it's only 10.7 lbs), would be well worth it. I can buy a pretty killer suspension for $1000. An yes ... there will be a drop ... I'm 90% sold on the pro kit.

Cheers,
Graham

not all 15 inchers...
just ones like this...
with a big lip...
they look like 14's...
definitely better than stock, but still, too small IMO...

These wheels are real performers. The only other wheel you can get this light is either used or about twice as expensive...

A 1" drop and/or some photos without the sun shining gloriously into the wheel well will make a big difference.

To compare the same color car with silver Heliums and smaller tires (205/50) click on the My Ride signature below.

damn, with 205/50's you need like a 4" drop.

Nice choice I have ordered a set in the same colour and my EP is also silver. I am going to order some springs before the wheels get here because that wheel gap is BIG, drop that EP and you'll be much happyer. Nice Ride:D My fellow Canadian:cool:

Nice wheels, fellow Ottawanian. We can finally take off our winter tires. Cool pics.

Heh - the gap looks much smaller from a "standing" position (all pics were taken 2' off the ground) ... and without it being lit up by the sun :) More pics when I get a chance.

I haven't decided on a spring/shock combo yet ... I'll wait for a lapping session at Shannonville to figure that out.

How much are the rims alone?? I am on quite a budget so I will have to just get the rims first!!!! I have a black EP3 and my first choice would be Rota Slipstreams in 15". Any chance that you'll upgrade to 16" and sell these to me for cheap???:D

Nahh ... I'm happy with 15s ... :) ... I do have a set of stockers tho ;)

I got the package from www.tiretrends.com (they are based in Vancouver). The rims were C$149.64 each & the tires were C$138.05 each ... the entire package (mounted & balanced, tuner lug nuts & hub centric rings) with shipping and taxes was $1306. Not bad for a lightweight rim and a grippy tire combo.

Yes - stock shocks for almost 5 months now with no problems at all!:D I'll still consdier upgrading them though if Tokico develops a setup for our cars;)
