hole in airbox

I did the Hondata air box mod but I cut the partition a little too far down and now there is a thin slit about 1" long. Right now I have it sealed up with adhesive and duct tape I had, but I doubt they are the best for this type of thing. What would anyone recommend for sealing the slit?

an easy, very cheep idea is to fill the gap with epoxy. ideally tape the bottom of the slit to hold in the epoxy till it dries, then take off the tape.

I did the exact same thing, I used Ultragrey gasket sealer and it worked perfect, one of the Mr. Gasket products, same thing used on our gaskets. Epoxy will work fine too I would think.
