I'd like to know if our cars need protection from the hot sun during summer. Will the sun damage our interiors? Do I need to use the cumbersome sun screen every time I park my Si?

I'd rather not, but will if it will save my car.

Wax and Tint my friend. Best things to use against UV rays. Over time your interior will fade.

yup, sun will fade the interior and best solution is tinted windows.
The paint, it should be waxed 2 times a year. Once before summer and once before winter.

Tinting is the best, but if you aren't going to do any heavy/dark tinting, then you might want to protect the dash/doors/etc with Armorall, or how you spell it. It'll protect it from the UV, but not 100%, it'll just slow down the process. Hmm... a cheap alternative, get em rug looking like things for your dash. Looks ghetto, but it works. =)
