hes talking about turning him self off, his dad tried but it didnt work, Try reading your OWNERS MANUAL.. you might be amazed what you find in there. :D

Check the manual.. It's in the section that has the instrument cluster in it then it talks about the CEL. Sorry I cant provide a page number but the book is in my car outside and I'm feeling lazy. I've done it two times to my car and it worked both times. If you cant get it to go off it might have something wrong but I doubt it. It's the right trip meter button in the gauge cluster. Key off, hold button in, turn key to on while holding button for at least 10 seconds. Not sure what else to say. Hope this helps. :(

I also believe he is a she. Turn the ignition to the first notch, pressing the odometer button on the gauge cluster, and while holding it, turn the ignition to the 2nd notch and do not start the car up. Then wait for the maintenance required light to blink then go out. Then turn the car off, and start normally. Hope that helped.

I think its suppose to come on after 8,000 miles. Both mine and my brothers came on. You might want to check that out.
