Bump. Any update yet? Anyone contacted them? Anyone? I'm really desperate, I don't wanna cut my stocks(Koni), other kits(H&R) are no where in sight, type flex is too fancy for me.:(

The TEIN add in the recent Super Street and SCC mags. have said that the basic kit fits the 01+ civic, but their is a note added to the line and it looks like this

01+civic* $TBA

*includes hatchback

you can check if you want, but that is whta it says in the add in this months SCC mag. I don't know whether that means it is out yet or not but that is what their add says.:)

I actually emailed Tein about a week ago on this topic and just heard back today, here's their reply:

In regards to your question. The Basic Damper for the EP3 is due to release at the end of June. Please check back on our website often for the latest updates and releases. Thank you for your interest in TEIN High Performance Suspension Products.

From what I understand, the type R has a different style front suspension setup from us...Anyone care to comment on this?

Just got a confirmation email from Tein:

The Basic damper was done on the Si EP3, so therefore you will not run into any problems. Thank you for your interest in TEIN High Performance Suspension Products.

If thats MSRP how much are we actually looking at paying ? Like a street price?

Im just guessing but i think itll be in the $1400.00 range. Probably to compete with companies offering similar coilovers for similar price.

MSRP is the highest price that you would pay for any product, it wont cost more than $990.

Sorry bro but I disagree, the SS set up is fully adjustable and retails from Tein for that price, the type flex for 1800-1900. The basic is only height adjustable and if they price it in line with the BASIC kits that are already on the market it should retail for $600-$990 dollars. That way there is seperation between their products. Just a thought though.

The msrp was like $990, from my experience (H&R cup kits), I bet you can get it from $700-$900.:D

Surprisingly, for the limited amount of time that the EP3 chasis has been out, there are a number of full coilovers available and comming out for the EP:

KW Suspensions (http://www.kwsuspensions.com/)
(this is brand of suspension that Jackson Racing EP has --- at least at the Hondata dyno day a couple of months back)
V1....$1,185.00 (MSRP). Stainless steel construction (less likely to rust). Height adustable only.
V2....$1,435.00 (MSRP) Stainless steel construction (less likely to rust). Damper and height adustable.
V3....???? no indications if it will come out. Stainless steel construction (less likely to rust). Damper and height adustable.

Progress (http://www.progressauto.com)
Competion Series...... $???. Scheduled to come out Spring 2003. Looks like it is only height adjustable.

TEIN (http://www.tein.com/)
Tein Flex....$1860.00 (MSRP) Damper and height adustable.
Super Street....??? (MSRP). Listed as comming out for the EP in a Super Street advertisement. Damper and height adustable.
Basic..........$990.00 (MSRP) Height adustable only.

JIC Suspension (http://www.jic-magic.com/)
FLTA2......??? (MSRP)
FLTA2RS......??? (MSRP)
I believe a couple of members have the JIC setup.

Anything else left out?

Are progress product cheaper than TEINs (in general)?

FACTION95Si

Progress is usually cheaper than Tein.

I'm just waiting for someone to make some struts for the EP. The struts don't even have to be matched to any springs. They must not realize that the first company to get struts out on the market for the EP is going to make a killing!

I just heard back from TEIN:

In regards to your question. The Basic damper kit will be available for the Civic Si late summer. Please check back on our website for the latest updates and releases. Thank you for your interest in TEIN High Performance Suspension Products.

WTF I thought by end of June, now end of summer:confused:
I wish companies could keep expected release dates, or give realistic ones...damn
