I was thinking about putting 2 small 6in subs under the seats in custom boxes. I dont want alot of bass just something to go with the stock system.

Has anyone done this? Is it comparable to maybe 1 10in sub in the trunk?

Hey,

if i were you going that route....i would...

not get the JLs (they are very good, i have the JLW6V2 12') i would go with something like the small Boston Acoustics....they are topOthe line for the smaller subs, and they can take TONS of wattage to them...and yes they would knock well better than 1 JL10...they will give you that punch you are looking for, and that clarity....

my boston acoustic components (zseries) can handle like 150watts with out a problem...check out their site....

as for the custom job, yes it can be done, call a place like Boston Acoustic, or a dealer in your area that sells them ....and they can build you a sick little box for them to stash under your seats....you may not be able to fit them under your seats, i mean you might, but when people move your seats it might f up the box....

i would suggest something like a stealth fiberglass in your actual seats (the front ones) like putting the 6inchers in the back portion of your front seats where the zippers are....

i am buying bostons for that specific reason, if you want to wait and see the job i do if you like it, i will make up directions and specs for you!

Have a good one, good luck!

Eric

ps you can check out the job done on my EP, just click my link in my 'signature'
