How often do yall change oil and what type oil?

my car only has 1200 miles on it.. but i plan on changing at 3000-3500

i plan on using reg oil 20w-50

Just an FYI, the first oil change is to be done at 3750miles. After that it is up to your driving habits.

I try to change mine around every 4,000 because most of my miles are highway miles.

Oh and I'm not a scientist or oil tech or anything but Honda recommends the very hard to find 5w20 oil. I buy a case whenever I can find it. ;)

i change every 3000 miles and I use mobil1 15w-50 synthetic. I tried redline 5w-30 for one oil change, but it didn't seem any better than the mobil 1 stuff.

I am however considering trying the mobil1 0w-40. supposedly it has a good additive package suitable for performance driving and has good cold start properties (not that I have any issues starting up with the 15w-50 here in the ga heat)

You can't go wrong with Mobil1, it is recommended and filled in every Porsche, Mercedes, Convette Z06 and Evo8 also! :D

A little under 14,000mi on my car, oil is changed every 3,000mi or a little over at the Honda dealer I got the EP at with stock Honda oil and stock Honda filter.

I went 5000 miles on some bulk dealership oil and had pretty good results. Here is the analysis (http://ephatch.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=11064&highlight=oil+analysis) I could have gone even further. My driving is not easy on the oil, 3 mile trip to work going up-hill both to and from, 80-85 mph freeway for 325 miles (4000 rpm+) and a lot of idle time. If you want to change the oil at 3000 miles you won't hurt anything, but if you change at 5000 you won't either.

The analysis (now know for sure) was of bulk 5w-20 Chevron oil with a made in Canada Honda filter.

I have M1 5w30 and another made in Canada Honda filter on now with another couple of months driving before the next oil change. I plan on using M1 0w20 oil and Toyo Roki Honda Filter next oil change.

Free hand wash or free run it through a machine wash. I'd never let my car see a brushless car wash. <shivers>

I think they work good.. When its cold out and i dont wanna hand wash!

I just changed mine the other day. 3,000 to 3,500 miles between changes and I am giving Royal Purple 5w20 a try. Its fully synthetic. Here's a site www.royalpurple.com
