I got a new little toy to play with. Hooked it up to my car, P0300,P0301,PO302,P0303,P0304 nothing I didn't know hehe.
For those wondering what those codes mean: radom misfire,cyl1,cyl2,cyl3,cyl4
Kinda cool, can erase codes(CEL and MIL) from ECU,monitor mode while running engine or driving.
Can hook up to other OBD II ECU's.
Only cost $124.99 +12.20 s/h
Not bad for a tool you can use and not goto a mechanic or honda dealship for diagnostic checks ($75 per test).
INVEST IN TOOLS!

I searched for the best price (15 min of searching hehe) everyone else wanted $149-$199 + s/h. I already have Helms Manual on the EP, the RSX one will be in next week :D
This place was the cheapest for code readerCLICK ME (http://midwayautosupply.com/detailedproductdescription.asp?3352)
Helm Site for those that don't know (http://www.helminc.com)
Helm sells HDS which is high end diag. tool but is VERY expensive. Among other upgrades with that tool.

Hey Bioevolve, I've got a rain check coupon that allows me to buy it for $149 Cdn at a local parts store, which is about $100 US. I was holding off on buying it though because I wanted to find out exactly what it does. The guys at the parts counter werent very knowledgeable on it though.

But I wanted to know if you can read individual sensors with this tool, for example can you read intake temps or voltage for the intake temperature sensor ?, can you read coolant temps or voltage of the coolant temp. sensor ?. That was the only thing keeping me from buying it as I did not know if it could do that like some OBD-2 scanners can do. If it is possible could you get back to me on those questions. thanks very much.

I don't think it does all that, just reads codes and little stuff. Link to manual (http://www.iequus.com/manuals/3100E.pdf) It's in PDF format.
What you are looking for is high end HDS $2000+ or AEM EMS $1500.

ah okay, thanks for the great info and link. Actually there are other types of scan tools you can buy that allow you to read inputs from different sensors, but they do cost a few more bucks.

Just got done searching and found a few that would do that for $275 + $150 upgrade.link (http://www.obd2.com) . Some that were really great $695. But I don't wanna spend that much.
