anyone else disappointed with JDM lights?

So I bought a set of JDM headlights sight-unseen. I was under the impression that the surround was a lot darker than it is. Honestly, I'm disappointed. The look that a lot of you guys are getting with the black spray paint is, in my opinion, much nicer and does a nicer job making our huge headlights looks smaller.

I got the lights for free because the insurance company paid for them, but still.. i was hoping for darker.. oh well.

If you REALLY hate them- I'll take them off your hands...:D J/K that's a pretty sweet deal that you got a set through the insurance company!

Yeah, only the HID's are that dark. (At least darker than the regular JDM surrounds.)
