"shaved emblems" help needed

i blacked out my rear "H" and it looks great but i really want it off all together. anyone have experience removing the molding that the "H" lives on (not the H)?
i plan to do the body work (fill in the indentation etc) and repaint it. are there screws and adhesive..suggestions? just thought i would ask before taking things apart to see how it comes off.

How did you "black it out" without removing it?

sorry i tried to be clear in my post but yes i did remove the H, painted it, reinstalled and it looks fine.

but what i really want is to take the badge off all together by shaving down, bondo and repaint the molding so there is no sign of a badge ever being there?

guess just need some help or advice in remove and reinstalling the molding.

WOW that is a superb idea....so far...the only emblems i have on my car is the 2 h's......it would be cool to get rid of one of them...! i hope someone knows how, if not...ill take a look tommorow(not that ill be able to or anything)
