There are colder plugs out there:

Coldstep Plug # Stock # Thread Dia Thread Reach Hex Gap (mm) Gap (in)

0-(stock)-IK20----5304---14-----------19-------------16---1.1---------0.044
1----------IK22----5310---14-----------19-------------16---0.8---------0.032
2----------IK24----5311---14-----------19-------------16---0.8---------0.032
3----------IK27----5312---14-----------19-------------16---0.8---------0.032

Cool:D :D
Ummm, what are this for? better performance? Please enlighten me.:)

You can say better performance. High compression in the combusion chamber due to; High compression pistons, N2O, Turbo, S/C applications. The colder stepping of the spark plug, the better. Less chance of Detonation and stuff, faster heat dissapation.

OIC.
Thanks man.

yeah, those wouldn't benefit anyone unless they are boosting...imo

whenever you significantly change the heat produced in the combustion chamber, you need to adjust the heat range of the spark plugs to compensate.

If you are experinecing temps that are too hot for the spark plugs you are using, you go one step "colder."

There is no benefit to using colder plugs when your heat range has not changed. if anything it's worse as the plugs might not reach self cleaning temp which will drastically reduce their life.

Yeah, I've got IK24's and when i'm not spraying it runs worse. Went from trapping at 89 to 85. Oh well, I guess i've just got to spray every pass now.:D
