it was custom made. You start off with the stock ctr kit made by Fujimi that you can get at www.hlj.com or www.1999.co.jp

then you customize it. I made a spoon replica and the red/white race replica.

Ahhh just a little clarification on the red and black one.

A friend of mine took those pics at Road Atlanta last year, he said nobody was racing or driving it, but it was just kind of sitting back there. He said it was owned by SSR (the wheel manufacturer) and that it's fully race prepped. It is in fact a regular Civic Type R, dunno if it's JDM or Eurospec. hehe wow i remember posting those pics AGES ago, it's cool to see someone else saved them. :cool:

hmmm....didn't know any REAL type-r' were made with the steering wheel and drivers side on the left, like in the usdm si'

Nope, sorry Jaydub, those are all fake Type-R's. Even the ones in Europe are just Si's with the Type-R kit. I believe Strange Shadow or whatever dude's name is. Thanks for trying though. All Type-R's are RHD.....................

they make type r's in both left and right hand drive depending on the country (ie: Garmany - LHD)

the CTR comes in LHD and RHD.... 3 diffirent kinds....
the JDM one has a 215HP engine with a LSD and a stiffer suspension than the other 2... the gears a closer together too

the EDM one so europe 200hp engine no LSD not available in white

the si you know the stats...

ALL THREE CARS ARE MADE IN THE SAME FACOTRY IN ENGLAND because of gas quality and other things they are diffirent

To answer your questions I did not post these pics in the past I saw them on hondatech.com and thought that they were dam nice ones at that....I don't know much about the car I just thought it was sweet!

Oh to answer a nother question, Type R's do come in LHD in italy because they drive on the same side of the road as we do in North America the pic from sport compact is the JDM EP3 Type R from italy and it was actually production #000000....the guy that was writing the article was joking about how much he could sell the car for....but he just got to drive it....that would have been nice too.
