mirror removal ???

I got this self dimming mirror, but I can't find the screw on the OEM mirror attachment piece to loosen it off the base. Does any one have the Helms manual and can look up mirror removal? Or does anyone know how to remove it off the windshield base, without removing the base off the windshield?

I think it just slides out the top...
