just bought a Pioneer TS-W254C sub, click here (http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/Pioneer/Images/CarProduct/TS-W254C.jpg) for a picture. got it from www.etronics.com for a great price!! is there a way to hook the sub up to the stock head unit, or should i wait til i get my Pioneer DEH-P3500 (http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/Pioneer/Images/CarProduct2003/DEH3500.jpg) ? i am going with an all pioneer system. so far i have 4 Pioneer TS-A1670R's (http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/Pioneer/Images/CarProduct2003/TSA1670R.jpg). They sound great. Next up after all that is some tweeters but i don't know much about them so i gotta check and see if pioneer makes them and if they fit or not.

Your stock head unit (even an aftermarket head unit) won't put out enough power to make the sub audible.

even if it has an internal amp? i plan on buying an amp, just further down the line

Your internal amp only works for 4 speakers and you definitely need an extra amp for the sub. spend a couple hundred on an amp and you are ready to go. ;) get a bridgeable amp that puts out 250W.

( I haven't done my install, but I know this one :), did my homework quite well ) :D

A. Wait for your headunit to come (dont try to power your sub off your current headunit, because your not going to have the option to try, and you dont have enough wattage or even close to enough to turn the sub on, let alone bump it)

B. Get a amp for that sub, its going to need something to power it, your pioneer isnt going to power it...

C. you can power your speakers you have in now with the internal amp....but your going to want to eventually get a 4 chan amp, to really power them...but you could do that down the line
