well being a dumbass i tried to see if i can make the car roll in fifth gear from a stop and i hella reved it and the clutch wouldnt go so i stopped, after that i could hella smell it. today when i was driving i started smelling it agian, this is the first time i ever smelled my clutch burn, and the clutch works fine and feels like nothigns wrong with it but i could still smell it burning for some reason...whats wrong?

you probably glazed the clutch.
if it's not slipping, count your blessings.
best way to test it:
put it in 5th gear at like 25mph and floor it...
then you'll know if it's slipping or not.

AND THIS TIME DONT START IN 5th!

on a related note, is anyone making an aftermarket clutch for the ep or rsx yet?

Exedy has a clutch/flywheel setup available for our cars. Anyone know how there products are?

funny you ask. I just got a reply from clutchnet. they make a clutch/pressure plate combo for 395. I asked them about their full face unsprung disc & PP.

You can start from 5th gear, but revving the hell out of it and riding it through is stupid. you just start off really slow, just ride the clutch at like 2000rpm or so.

But what's the point?

yeah i dont know why i fuckin did that iam retarded for that one haha, but man i hate the smell and the clutch works fine.

Hella is used mostly in the bay area of califronia, not here in socal though
