Anyone use Synthetic 20w50 motor oil in manual tranny's, I use to use it in my CRX and Del Sol (use to have them).
What do you use or have used?

straight motor oil doesn't have the proper additives to work with the synchros of our transmissions, which can lead to increased wear over time.

To be perfectly honest Honda MTF is awesome fluid, it is reported to be a synthetic or at least semi-synthetic fluid and has the proper additives for our trannies. I just like to swap it out once per year though, I think that is good maintenance to do. I know a few guys that track their Hondas and they really like B&G Synchroshift (hope I have the spelling correct ?) in their trannies, it seems to be properly designed for trannies, but other than that Honda MTF is great fluid. I've tried Redline MTF in the past but I didn't think it was all that great, I preferred the Honda fluid when I put it back in. hth.
