ok, maybe this is a dumb question but did you black house the inside? or is that tint stuff that people put in lights?

Spray tint from the hobby store... I did a few coats so it came out a little dark. If you do like 2 coats it should make it like a smoked red.

....I should of washed the car before taking picutres...so nasty....:confused:

Looks good to me. I think it might be illegal to put anything on your tail lights here in Cali. Anyone know for sure?

As far as I know, it is only illegal to cover up the reflector. A vehicle has to have some sort of reflector to make the car visible if the car is off at night.

You know what, I think that looks kinda cool. I'm not one for painting stuff on cars, but that looks really unique without looking stupid or half-assed. I haven't seen any cars with any taillights anywhere near that look. Godd for you. I like how you expanded on the taillights from the SI concept......very creative.

Now, if the edge quality and tape-job you did look sloppy upclose, then I'll take back my compliment and stand by my "you shouldn't paint stuff on your car" creedo.

Yeah, I had not cleaned them up yet. They are now polished back to normal and clean lines. I did not have time to complete the project on one day. I was antsy on getting your opinions. I'll post some better quality up close shots when I am able to steal my boys digital camera again.

Speaking of cops that are dicks, I just got an expired registration ticket in addition to the speeding ticket on saturday....AND IT WASN'T EVEN MY CAR!!! I can't believe that, a ticket for expired registration on a car that wasn't mine! I have nothing to do with the registration of that vehicle......me so mad.

I wasn't even speeding either. I need a hot shot lawyer to cook this cop in court.

i don't think they look that bad.. they look pretty good actually but, i think the stock look, looks better..
