Looks like ass but the technology is freaking amazing. I'm seriously considering this or the hybrid as my daily driver in the next few years.

It's so worth it. (That and the phat $2000 a year tax break.)

i don't think it looks that bad, especially considering our own space-egg. looks euro, like a renault or a peugeot. i saw interior pics, and it looks superb, near-lexus quality. it also has a console mounted shifter

That looks like a 4 door hybrid between the SI and the CRX. Not so bad, but hey, the Prius doesn't get by on its looks. It's supposed to look kinda funky so you'll point a finger, stick out your buck teeth and yell "Aye ma! Looky here! That there's one a them electic cars!"

honda should seriously bring the 4 door civic hatch body type over as the next civic hybrid. i'd buy it.

The new Prius looks like a real winner... considerably more upscale inside and out than its predecessor. That said, the five-door hatch shape is distinctly unpopular here in the States (particularly slant-backs like that), so I'm guessing that they're expecting to gain some ground sales-wise in other nations. The five door setup of course makes a great deal of sense in terms of practicality and aerodynamics (important for the Prius), but we're kind of stupid that way here in America *lol*.

Toyota has done themselves (and greens) a great service by having the car look a bit more "normal" - they could've used, say, the Scion Xa or Xb, but that would've risked stigmatizing the technology because of its odd looks.

For what its worth, the kamm tail looks more than a bit like a Mercedes C230...

Celica owners are sure to be eyeing the Prius start button for their own S2000-style mods... ;)

I was a moderator on here once, and I guess I hate when a post is in the wrong section. As for "drugged up" I guess this reputation is due to legalized marijuana for medical reasons, I'm not a fan of "smoking up". I prefer my nice Canadian beer...lol!

GO SENS GO!
