Are they EXACTLY the same ??

At least the same thread/screw size ?

The Si antenna is $24 and the S2000 antenna is $18

maybe the parts guys at your local dealer can help with that question,I might go by there tomorrow, if I do I'll try to remember to check.

i know a couple jetta owners who have bought and used the s2000 antenna b/c its stumpy. I also know GTi owners using Si antennas. I'm guessing they're the same thread size

I had an S2000 antenna on my 2000 Celica.
They look the same - if I remember right

Yes, they are the same. I just went out and switched them and they fit just fine.

The S2000 antena is the same thread size as the Si antenna. My friend who has a Lexus IS300 bought one to change his long antenna to the little short stubble like ours. The only difference that I saw was the end, ours is smooth all the way down to the end. The S2000 bulges out like the last 1/2" kinda like a microphone just not so exagerated.

We switched because he did not like the bulge at the end.

I could show you but dumb ass job wont give me access to paintbursh here on the computer.

kinda like this (edited dont work).... this sucks...I want a better computer at work :'(

Doesn't surprise me that the S2000 antenna is more expensive. The car costs more, so they can charge more for parts. It's all relative to the cost of driving it.

if you look more carefully, the s2000 antenna is less. :p

To alleviate any concern about the differences in antennas, here they are side-by- side for a comparison. The S2000 antenna is the one on top and yes it is a little different, but not too much and really not much wider at the base. I have a pic of the S2K antenna on the Si that I'l post later.
