Tire Size

Help!!!!

I have 17" x 7" wheels and I'm thinking of getting some new tires, but I don't know which size will work better...215 45 17, 225 45 17 or 225 50 17. If anyone could help I would really appreciate it.

PS would the 225 50 17 make my car look hire or would they close the big ass gap I have in the wheel well.

225/50/17 would be 1.65 in. bigger in diameter than stock. That is a big difference, it would help fill in that gap. You would probably feel alot slower off the line but you would have more top end speed. Oh ya, your speedo would be way off.

out of those sizes you listed...215 45 17 is the most practical. although i personally like the look that 205/40/17's give a wheel, it does create more gap and require a more aggressive drop and throws speedo off a tad

Neither, I'd go w/205 45 17". CTR specs baby,yeah!


Otherwise 215 45 17, i guess wider is better. Especially if you're like me, corner happy.
