I have constantly heard that the CTR and the si has the same suspension, the only difference is the ride height. Would it be easier or better to go with the OEM CTR setup and just change springs?

I like the compromise that Honda made with ride quality, usability and performance on the stock CTR height.

I figure that way you know that the parts are high quality and are desighned for the car from the start. Or would it not be worth the hassle or price of exporting, considering there are numerous spring available here.

I wouldn't go for CTR springs. Better to go with springs that are (hopefully) made to match the Si shocks. I also think there are some geometrical diffs in the rear suspension. The Euro non CTR Civic has different movement path, the rear wheels travels more horizontal than the CTR's when compressed. Maybe the Si is the has the same setup as the Euro non CTR...?
