In the best traditions of squeezing the finest of Honda's parts bin into a Civic, we are pleased to bring you:

This was not an exercise in power, but one to extract maximum torque.

Specifications:

Accord 2.4 bottom end (9.5:1 compression)
RSX-S head
Japanese Integra Type R camchafts
RC 550 saturated injectors
RSX-S six speed gearbox
Jackson Racing race headers and test pipe
Short ram intake
5 Zigen catback
Stock fuel pump and stock fuel pressure

Driving Impressions

This would have to be the most fun Honda I have driven. Flexing your right foot instantly delivers weapons grade torque and leaves you grabbing for the next gear. Most freeway onramps will have you well into three digits before you have to merge. This engine does not need to be redlined for a fast getaway though. Huge amounts of torque mean that corners normally negotiated in second gear can be taken in 4th or fifth. You can change from first gear to sixth with no hesitation. For long interstate trips sixth gear would be all you need for 80-120 mph cruising.

Thanks to Hasport for supplying the car and engine and to Jackson Racing for supplying and fitting the supercharger. Hasport sell a stiffer rear motor mount for this car which is needed to reduce engine movement under acceleration.

I'm suprised you fit all of that under the hood!

The Revhard turbo kit, on a stock 2.0 k20a3 at 7psi
gives us roughly 240 whp and 190 wtrq

Thats not quite the power you got - but also half the work...plus I'm partial to my stock engine...

I believe the ep3 that was tested with the revhard turbo was basically stock other than the turbo kit aswell...

How much psi was that supercharger at during the dyno?

Yeah the cybernations turbo kit also posted around 240whp and about 200lb/ft of torque...

On the other hand the JR supercharged K24A2 would have less lag and probably more power at lower RPMs...

And I'm pretty sure there's still power to be massaged out...hehe...I'm pretty certain I've seen someone extracting way more power from a very similar setup...I'm remembering over 330whp from a supercharged K24 block setup...

=P

most likely 5 psi. That would have put the car at about 40% increase and then the other additions of power probably helped at a little more power and gave a good tq and power curve.

5psi? What makes you say that?

Now I wanna know what a TSX motor with better cams and a supercharger would do. It has an even higher compression ratio as it is 200hp 166lbs/ft with a 10.5:1 cr compaired to the accords 160 hp 161lbs/ft with a 9.7:1 cr. I bet even more torque and hp would be had. Plus the TSX has a 7100rpm redline stock and the accord has a 6800 so there are probably some better internals in the valvetrain of the tsx, who knows the rsx-r cams might be a direct boltin getting rid of the need for an rsx-s head all together.

Hondata, I wanted to PM or email you, but you don't allow that.
I had a question about the ecu upgrade for my Si. Will I run richer than I already am at some points, and if will help my a/f ratio overall, or will it make things worse? Here is a post of my dyno chart with a/f ratio:

Or here is a smaller image of it:

I have an injen cai, hp header, and comptech cat-back.

That dyno graph looks very similar to mine from Cybernation.

true steve...but that car revs over 1k higher with that power....

Steve...if your dyno graph went lower than 3.8k you'd see the low end tq is much more that your turbo. Just a little FYI.
