whats up guys.. as many of you know I was thinking of getting rid of my car and once I thought about it real good, I saw it wasn't a good idea... So, I'm getting ready for an event here in South Florida and I upped the nitrous to a 65 shot.. WHP is now 217... here's the dyno sheet.. If it wasn't for you guys, I would've gotten rid of the car already... thanks guys......

man, if you can run that kind of power at will, any time, how can you out-do that car ?. I would keep it for sure, it started out as a great driving car, now you got awesome power safely. You're getting about 250 hp at the crank now, that is nice. good work. Just sit back and enjoy it now, and keep it safe.

I have the bottle mounted directly behind my drivers seat.. the bottle is carbon fiber and holds 12 lbs of nitrous....

DAMN, from a 65 shot only!! thats impressive, what kit are you using dry, wet, direct port? fill me in with your setup!! is this with a stock intake and exhaust also??? those numbers are comparable to my turbocharged b18b1 @8psi !! REALLY nice!!!!! --joe

you cant run a dry setup in these cars because they don't have a return line for the fuel.. a direct port is a little out of the question because NX says their smallest shot is a 100hp.. So I had to go with a single fogger wet system right in front of the throttle body.. current mods are Injen intake, HP header, custom made 2.25 mandrel bent exhaust and the NX kit... thanks.

miamijdm, what n2o and fuel jet are you using for 65 shot?
39 n2o and 22 fuel?

question: If some RSX type-S owners are using 75 shot, shouldn't ours easily handle it also, because the RSX type-S has 11.0 to 1 compression and we have 9.8 to1 ? Wouldn't we be safer?

I thought that higher compression engines liked nitrous oxide because of it's cooling effect. Is this true?

Good shit, congrats. Bottle is in a good place too, you can reach right back and open it...save the $300+ for a remote valve. Any reason why you went with that bottle? Have a few hundred extra bucks hanging around or something, hehe jk.

Nitrous does have a cooling effect, but it also greatly elevates cylinder pressure and oxygen level, which creates heat. The RSX Type S comes with forged pistons, I think, so it can usually handle a larger shot of nitrous. I think we have hyperutectic pistons in our cars, so despite the lower compression running too much nitrous can be a little worrisome. Adding enough extra fuel is critical in any nitrous setup, though.

With the NX kit did you have to use a Fuel Pressure Regulator? If so, what is it set at?

You may want to play with that a bit on the dyno for a few extra ponies.

Take Care and congrats on the great numbers!

you are my hero miami. hopefully i will go through with my 80 shot direct-port plan and be able to hang with you. if not there is always the turbo plan and the crazy all-motor plan and the...

thanks fishboy, and good luck with your car... There is nothing as cheap and effective like nitrous.... And btw, the nx kit does not bring a fuel pressure regulator... im using the stock regulator...

miamijdm, what n2o and fuel jet are you using for 65 shot?
39 n2o and 22 fuel?

BTW, I set my N2O 41 and FUEL 26 (NX recommends N2O 41 & FUEL 24) for the the 75 shot (more fuel helps for safer shooting). I haven't used it yet, but I will thursday night at Test and Tune.

L8RZ

Squeezed the 75 shot tonight (twice) on the dark back roads:D, talk about pulling:eek:. I didn't think it pull that much harder for a 25 shot increase but it did.
Gonna check the plugs tomorrow (IK22's) not stock ones.
Also used an octane booster to help, makes it more safer I hope .
Thursday night after the test and tune at the track, I will post new times. ;)

im using a 39 on the nitrous and a 18 jet on the fuel.. i know it sounds lean, but the air fuel on the dyno says im still rich... With the 24/22/20 jet on the fuel, the car was pig rich... just helping you out....:)

Thanks for info, really helps me out alot when there is no dyno near by. So that might means I'm running rich with 41n2o & 26fuel, I can bump the n2o up to 46 then :D
