What's the best way to get dried car wax off of the black plastic trim pieces (i.e. mud guards, doors, etc.)? I've tried scrubbing it when I wash it but not all of it or barely any of it comes off. Any ideas?

Try some 3M Adhesive, Tar and Wax remover from walmart or some autoparts place. You might need to use an old toothbrush with it to.

Also, if you want to avoid this in the first place, try a good synthetic like Klasse a good carnuba like P21S. They don't stain trim.

Thanks for the advice. I use Meguiars and thought that was good enough...

Peanut butter...no joke. It's a trick I read from detailing boards.

Hmm, peanut butter... That actually sounds vaguely familiar. Maybe I'll try that first. :)

Use Mother's "Back to Black" - works amazing, no more wax stains!
