I feel for ya man.... Mine got stolen in a movie theater parking lot during a midnight movie....

Cost me $27.99 at the dealer for a new one.....

I used clear nail polish on the threads of my new one to make it almost impossible to just "screw off" quickly....

Dont forget to check the base. I have friends that have had the base dented from the idiots acting like apes & jackasses trying to un-screw the part.

I bet an owner of a VW GTI snagged it. They fit perfectly on those cars and they (The Si antenna) look better than the stock VW ones...

a guy at my job does this every now and then to get me back for shit I do to him but he eventually gives it back. I'm interested in permanently sealing it in there - how does that nail polish trick work?

i thought of glueing mine or rigging it so it would be hard to get off but i'm worried when they cant get it off they will get more distructive. you feel me? feel like its worth taking the chance on $30 bucks then cough up a $500 deductable when they kick your door with their white lugz..

yeah but if you live in an apartment in NYC and have to use a drive-through carwash you just screwed yourself(haha screwed) by gluing it! =P

you should unscrew the antenna and put it in your car if you know that you will be leaving your car unattended for a long period of time. it only takes about a minute to do and will save you 30 bucks each time.
