i hope the pictures come out...but i'll describe the problem...i have a bump on the sidewall, it's pretty noticeable and it's raised maybe an inch or two above the rest of the sidewall. the pressure seems fine. my question is, what is it? and do i need to get it fixed? thanks for your time! and sorry for the non-ep related topic!

You nailed a bump or something hard and broke the inner sidewall cords, hence the cartoon head knot and rubber rubs on your rim. You can still ride on it, but I would change that tire for safety reasons(could pop on ya). Check your other tires for the same problem.

get a new tire asap. You're tire will eventually come apart during driving...I've had this happen to me. There is no fix, just replace the tire. The tire shop will tell you the same. surprised to see that happen to a tire with so much side wall. I had 16's with 45 series tires on my older ex, every bad bump I hit I got one of those and the tire shop replaced for free (warranty). Trust me, get that replaced asap

That looks like a bad belt in the tire. If it is still under warrenty bring it to the dealer or find out if you have any warrenty left on the tire wear and bring it to a tire dealer.
