Okay, you guys. I'm getting so many different reponses when I ask this. But does anyone know for sure if the 2k2 Si floormats come standard or are they an option? My dealer says that Honda NEVER includes floormats. They are selling the floormats as options for $150.00.

In Canada they come standard with the car. I've had 5 Honda's before this one, and this is the first time the floor mats come standard. They even list them on the Canadian Honda website as being standard equipment.

Note also that in Canada, the floormats just say "Civic" no SiR or Si.

They arent standard but, I've gone to the dealer afterwords and I asked about them in the parts department and they sold them to me for $99.

Absolutely an option - my dealer didn't even stock them in April when I bought mine. I had to order them from collegehillshonda.com for $75.00 shipped to my house.

They're an option just like fog lights and other stuff.

Yeah, I hade them throw my floormats in at no extra cost since they didn't want to come down on the sticker price. :)

Mine were in the car when I got in and drove off. I guess I got lucky!

Maybe it's a dealer decision as to if they want to include them as standard equipment, I got my car OTD for 18,5 and it came with the moonroof deflector and floormats.

Mine were optional. Bought them at a local dealer for around $64, they matched the price I found at:
http://www.discount-hondaparts.com/cgi-bin/cp-app.cgi

Ask if your local dealer will match prices found else where i.e. the above website (it is actually a dealer in Cali).

On the subject of floormats (mine came with the car as they should), is the civic si iron on coming off of anyone else's mats? Mine is 1/2 peeled up on my driver's side mat.

Did anyone not use that stupid bolt down kit they give you. I couldn't get myself to cut slits into the floor of my brand new car so into the garbage it went. The mats slide around a little but not a big deal.

I had to buy mine and the red "Civic SI" is embroidered not ironed on.

If it is embroidered why is it peeling off? I would think some stitching wouldn't peel and would tear.

As far as the mounting brackets go, I installed them. The carpet on your Si is already preforated and cut, you just have to cut one section to open up the flaps, behind the flaps you stick both of the yellow anchors in, and screw the holders in.

Straightening my mat this weekend I noticed that they MUTILATED the carpet beneath the mat when they installed the hooks.

Mine came with the car and no hassle. I guess my dealership hooked me up.

i noticed a couple of weeks back that the dealer didn't give me the si floormats. those bastards gave me the coupe ones i think. they dont fit well, they are smaller in the front and the back one is bigger. bastards. i didn't pay for them to my knowledge. i asked for them and they said they would throw them in.
