How's the glare from your HID conversions?

Are you getting brite'd at all from oncoming traffic?

I'm debating doing this, but am torn.

500 bucks of disposable income could buy:

some better lighting
--or--
a nice little vacation.
a new set of irons
a night at the bunny ranch
a fairly large quantity of drugs
10,000 bazooka joe's

Suddenly, HIDs don't seem like such a great idea.

They're so damn nice, but I guess I should stick to the incognito halogen route.

...just thinking out loud

ive got a 7500K kit on mine. paid $589 for it. it glares a little bit, but i dont know if im the only one, but i think it glares because the bulb is so much brighter and it sneaks past the diffuser and creates glare. so, heres a pic of mine.

the xenondepot hi/lo kit is 520 for 80 more i would like high beams AND the higher the "k" the less light u actually put on the road BUT the brighter the light it to your eyes

what im concerned about is the plastic headlamp covers. Do the HID's get really hot?

Given that HIDs operate on 35W as opposed to halogen 55W they do not burn at a significantly higher termperature.

As per your questions in regards to colour temperature, take a look at this page for some info:
