well.. i need to buy a new front sway bar b/c my Visoion D-Pipe rest against the stock sway bar and causes massive ratling. this is driving me nuts and it sounds like shit. i need to order something very soon, so what would you guys recommend?

maybe a stock RSX-S sway? it's 2mm smaller at 23mm. Besides that I don't think anything will help you becuase every aftermarket company makes a larger bar(ie: progress-27mm)

its not the diameter of the bar, its the shape of it. the stock ones have a narrow "\_/" where the aftermarket have a larger"\__/" see what i mean. i definatly want a larger diameter, just an aftermarket bar

oh okay:D

then your only option would be to go with the Progress bar or wait for the Neuspeed one.

Or get the Hotchkiss one. Are you in LA? If so contact Hotchkiss, they are doing test fitting for their sways and they told me they could give me a good price on them installed if I lived in So Cal, they are in Glendale, to test fit them on my car.

FYI, when I had the Progress front sway installed, it caused a rattle along with the Thermal R&D exhaust that was already on the car. So my suggestion is to take it to a muffler shop, and have them fix your rattle. It will be very minor. My buddy did it for me ( he basically used a ratchet to make an indention on the exhuast so the sway wouldn't touch). Small, nothing huge and noticeable.

i thought about something like that.. but i paid $660.00 for this down pipe.. im not going to dent it at all. IMO, i want my air flo to be as free as it can. with the d-pipe being so short, i dont want to mess with it. but thanks for the advice

It looks like your set on upgrading your stock sway bar, but I figured id make the suggestion anyway. Our sway bar is rather large at 25mm, im gonna stay with it and got Neuspeed poly bushings which did make a noticable difference. Just something else to think about. The bushing are only $20 from Neuspeed, free shipping. Just my .02

EDIT: Post #420...WhooWhoo;)

The bushings just replace the stock ones. Sorry if I misunderstood your problem, I read that your stock bar will fit, however the aftermarket bar you had would not. The bushings dont change the positioning with the bar.

If I replaced the stock rear sway with an RSX-S rear sway would I have any problems with tearing the subframe like people did with the previous EK Civic with ITR rear sway?

Nah, the RSX bar is 19mm, the CTR bar is 22mm, shouldnt be a problem. Alot of people have gone that route and havent heard of any problems.

I know the stock front sway is shaped like a crooked " V " and my ST front one is more like " U " and the inner bends are wide apart. But It is alittle closer to the down pipe. Hope that helps.
