I just picked up a CTR shiftboot today. I took some pictures of the two different boots so you could see the difference between the two.

They are identical except the for the silver ring on the top. The CTR boot lets the shifter slide through. The Si boot as you know clips into the knob. It also looks like the CTR boot ring sits a little lower.

Here is the CTR boot installed on my EP. I have a previous generation CTR (EK) shift knob with the OEM reverse thread nut. I had to wrap a little duct tape around the shifter to get the boot to stay up on the shifter.

I bought it from www.K-oticracing.com for $50 out the door. Its a piece of cake to install. You remove the shift knob, yank/pop out the shifter "garnish" piece, then unscrew 3 screws that hold the boot to the garnish piece. Then just reassemble everything. The consol having a crease could be when you remove the garnish piece. It wants to stay in there so the top corners of the piece will bend causing a crease in the plastic when you yank it out.
