H.I.D's!!!! $1,009.99 ??? (HOLY SCHNIKES) my review

OMG ,

So after some debate (and some arguing with the guys at XenonDepot)

I strolled over to their site and checked out their "Canadian" price on H4-6000K Hi/Lo

:eek: :eek: $1,009.99!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !

I assume I'd have to pay tax( cause I'm within the same province) and shipping as well?????. The price would come out to just about what I paid for my Heliums and Yokohamas :eek:

I have now officially been priced out of the market for H.I.D.s

Over $1,000 Canadian buys ALOT of bolton's ie:(from my list)

Neuspeed Race $280
Skunk2 Rear Lower $135
Ingalls Camber correction front + rear =$140
Borla Header $500
Custom 2 1/4 midpipe $60

Furthermore, the U.S. price, is only $609.99 which when converted comes out to about $840.292 Canada Dollars

Whats up with that? subsidizing the Yanks? (jacking your own countrymen?)

just get the oem fogs, see if they provide you with enough light so that you wont have to get hids :)

I thought about that also. :( Thing is I would really like H.I.D's , its just DAMN hard to rationalize H.I.D's or 3/4 of my Mod Wish list :confused:

HIDs are about $550 american, i don't see that as that bad considering what you are getting

why u think i don't even bother even consider to buy it..? look at his cdn price..compare to the us dollar..even is cheaper to buy it with USD at that this rate:confused:

But that same $550 U.S. converts to over $800 CDn(which they don't sell for in Canada.)

What if you were asked to pay between $800 and $1000???(U.S.)

I agree, seems like the Yanks are being subsidized so that the kit is more aggressively priced to them.

however because there are fewer companies making them(H.I.D kits) in Canada, we "have" to pay what the market will bare.

Personally I'm either gonna source the parts myself (can't be too hard, or wait- eventually the prices will drop)

When aftermarket HID kits were first out (at least In Seattle) they were easily that much.....relax they will drop.

ANYWAY, about HIDs -- unless they come down to somewhere CLOSE in price to foglights, I might consider getting some. Until then, count me out.

I like those HIDS too, but way too much for me and like you I rather spend on performance upgrades.

What I did, was just buy some RAZO bulbs for $60 (not as bright, but bright!) to hold me over untill I can save up some cash. Some guys on here have PIAA bulbs and they love em. So maybe check those out.
