I bought the car used and the moron that had it took the emblems off the front, the dealer gave me new emblems when I got the car so I will put them on towmarrow as well. I may also paint the headlights.

Wheels are like shoes, you get what fits you. I have always liked the 5-spoke look. But are they true 3-piece wheels??

it is 205/40/17 with Kumho Ecsta Supra 712's mounted on Konig Monsoon wheels.

That size tire is over 3/4" too short for the car. Did you choose it or did someone sell you the wrong size? It adds wheel gap and throws off your speedometer.

steve good point.....also, check the weight on those tires....i also had 205/40's on mine and just had them replaced with 215/40's....i was told that my weight (80) was way under the stock (88) and i was risking a blowout.....they were not safe for my car.....you should definatly check that and consider new tires...not worth having nice rims if you wreck your ride.

I am going to switch to 215/40/17, I think I am going to go with Yokohama Parada Spec 2

cool! yeah thanks to the members here, i never would have known about that weight limit thing and because of them, i checked and got new tires....they potentially saved my life and my ep.

The closest diameter would be a 205/45 17. the 215/40 is still 1/2" too short.

actually thats incorrect, the 205/45-17, 205/50-17, 215/40-17, 215/45-17 are all approved sizes for our make and model car.

approved by who? variance in tire diameter alters the speedometer and can also affect the ABS. 205/45 is almost exactly the same height as stock, 215/40 is 1/2" shorter. How is this "incorrect"?

195/60 15 = 24.21"
205/50 16 = 24.07"
215/50 16 = 24.46"
205/45 17 = 24.26"
215/40 17 = 23.77"

steve you dont have to jump all over my ass dear, i was just sharing info i have also recieved from a reputable tire distributor. the ones i listed were under the 2002 honda civic si hatchback for 17'' tires. i am sorry i stepped on your toes - didnt mean to get you upset with me. the 215/40's actually decreased my wheel gap at least a 1/2 - 3/4 inch from the 205/40's i put on before. the dealer also said that these tires would have no affect on my abs. as for the speedometer.....if its off my 1 or 2 mph, i am not sweating that....but some do.
so stating that the 215/40s are the wrong size, yes you were incorrect on that...there is more than one size tire that you can swap to put on your car.

Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't Honda use 205/45/17 on the Type R?

Again, you're the one who's incorrect and yet you're saying I am. I just showed you the measured diameters of various sized tires, and the 205/45 17 is virtually identical to stock. Therefore, a tire that's 1/2" shorter is incorrect. Sure, it'll work and most wouldn't know the difference, but that doesnt make it right. I dont know about others, but I'd rather buy what fits best.

OK Steve.......lol no i am not incorrect but you win. i dont care to argue about tire sizes and whats "virtually identical to stock" if i wanted stock, i would have kept my 15's. my only point was that the tire size you stated is NOT the only size you can put on 17 inch rims. However, if i have OEM questions, i will be sure to come to you.
they are tires man, take it easy
