Recently I was looking for 100 octane fuel. Since I work with a bunch of tech's they love breaking things down and doing it themselves.

So here is some info on making racing gas. Anyone like to comment? Please by my guest

So I just need to mix about 4 gallons of Toulene with 9 gallons of 93 to achieve 98+ octane?

This would cost me about $30 for a full tank vs $75 for 103 octane from Ennis.

Nice, might just try it.

Hmm... Sounds right to me. Will any of you gonna try it and post a report about this? Maybe I will try it myself.:p

higher octane than 91 wont do anything for your car, probably make it lose performance

I don't think that is true.. Our cars even have maps for 100 octane fuel, It's the norm in japan, and anyone who has ever used 100 octane gas, (including myself) can vouche that 100 octane gas makes the car do a few things.

a.) More rev happy w/o sounding like your pushing it
b.) Sounds different
c.) definatly feels faster and less hesitant.

But that's just me, hell, ctr's get higher performance out of 100 octane gas? I know this is true however i don't have a link handy.

I havent ran Ennis nor Kennadale in the Ep yet. Did run a 15.1 with no traction at Ennis and 9.5 at Kennadale with a 0.502 reaction time with the R tho.

I used 103 in the R and it did run much smoother and felt quicker.

The thing is the R was made for race gas (high compression 10.6:1) were our ep is 9.8:1....so I wouldnt go over 100 on the Ep.

The higher the octane the better the car will run but the faster the engine will wear.

I could of ran pure methanol in the R but the engine would not of lasted as long as it should.
