hey i bought this used fuel rail off of ebay, woundering how i would clean it b4 install? or does it even matter ;)

I would give it a good inspection to insure there are no cracks.. etc. Brake cleaner should do the trick on cleaning out the inside of the fuel rail. If you have compressed air, I would blow it clean with that. Other than that, not much else to do. Good luck on your new purchase!!!

Just curious.......unless you're running some fairly serious motor mods that require a fuel system upgrade, is there a HP advantage to installing an AEM Fuel Rail?

ah well i just bought the break cleaner from Canadian tire

The brake cleaner will work just fine. Won't leave any residue either. Have fun!!
