I'm glad you brought this up, I keep forgetting...

I personally think the seats in the EP are too tall also...

it will also help lower the center of gravity somewhat

Man, I have been trying to find a way to lower my seat 4ever. You could cut out about 1.5 - 2 inches of extra metal on the stock bracket. I just haven't had the time to fuck around with that. I also looked into the RSX seat rails, They are height adjustable. The problem is the RSX seats are two pieces thats why they can be adjusted, our seats are a single piece. I suppose the SI seats could be modified to fit on those brackets. Also RSX Bracket = $75.00 SI Bracket = $50.00. These are the invoice prices from the dealer. Just letting you guys know what I have found out thus far. Laterz -

Both Spoon and J's racing make seat rails that sit lower. I think the spoon ones sit about a inch or more lower. The spoon one's state that they are to be used on Recaro seats though. They probably could be modified. I don't know how to get them, I think Inline four could get you the spoon ones, but other then that I don't know where to find them.:)

Any chance since you have a S2000 I think would the rails on that car work on are car? Since I do not have one I can not see how they are bolted down.

Howard at Pole Position has found them for us!! J's Racing I believe. $235, but I don't know if that's for just one seat or the pair. I PM'd him to find out. If we get enough guys togther he will help us out some, but he needs to know how many. So SIGN UP AFTER THIS POST, even if you've said already you want them. I want to give him a good idea of how many. ;)

Ok $235 just for some rails seems a little high for the pair. I would take a good look at them though if they lowered the seat and did allow it to go farther back. If we did work out a group deal I will see how it goes and how my cash flow is.

The price is only for one seat. So yeah, they are somewhat expensive. :(

I can do another 10% if there are like 8 people interested.

Can we get more info on what excactly this does ( how much lower, or farther back?) I am REALLY interested, even though the price is very high. If the specs on what this rail give are respectable, you can count me in....... maybe someone should put this in the for sale section as a group buy. laterz

I am not to sure about that price. What do they do give us power seats for that price? I guess I would like to see the specs and go from there. I want to have the rails on both the the seats look even sitting in the car.

i'm interested if they make a big enough impact...

for that price it's retarded... 235 bucks? and for only one seat? wow... might as well sell our seats which you could get for like 700 (conservative) and buy some nicer ones... anyways... if you're gonna go to the track you might as well get the racing harnesses which you can't really use on the stock seats unless you buy a roll cage...

OK, well I got sick of waiting for this guy to answer our questions. I went ahead and modified my stock bracket. Now the drivers seat moves back an extra 2-3 inches. I was going to lower it too, but it felt fine after just moving it back. All I had to do was take out the seat and make NEW notches to hold it in, and get rid of the BUMP STOP. Works like it did b4 but now it goes back farther. SOmebody just lost my $200+ sale..........

235 is pretty high, but I'd love to lower the seat 1' - 1.5"

siver-SI

OK SIxtasy how hard was it to make the new notches? It looks like this guy is losing anouther $200+ sale. :)

SIxtasy

Actually, its not hard at all. It took me about an hour and a half. Most of that was trying to figure out what was keeping it from moving farther back. I guess this isn't the ez-ist thing to do, but I'm happy I made the effort. Just take your seat out and you understand how to do it.

Well I looked over my seats today and I have to say it looks siple to do. What I am wondering what did you use to cut to notches with? I think I can do it with out taking out the seats but I can not figure what tool to use to cut it with.

thanks
