i want to do 2.25 piping from the cat to stock muffler.. ditch the resonator...
would this be a good setup up to keep stock look.. while gaining some sound ..
i really prefer to hear my car.. but i don't want to pay 600 for a full system..
this way.. if i decide to get a universal.. muffler shop can just weld it on..
i heard some ppl have done this.. i want to know what it sounds like..
thx !!

actually, a LOT of people have done this. If you search, you can find a lot of posts dealing with this subject.
"it sounds deeper, but not raspy or buzzy" is what the general description is

yeah ive done a search ..
i found a sound clip.. i forgot who posted it ..
it sounded nice.. but that person also had headers and intake..
mine is pure stock..
so i think the sound will be different..
im hoping for some feedback on sound from someone whos done this with out intake and headers

i just have the 2 1/4 midpipe without a resonator and i love the deep sound. my friends thought i had a catback system as i rolled up near the house, then was amazed to see it was still my stock muffler that was on. do it, you will like this clean deep sound.;)
