Jeff brother, if you reading this, i hope you r alright buddy. Its just car, thankfully you ll heal.

I hate to come here and tell you, but what the hell were you thinking? Especially when you called me a few days prior and told me that your brakes were all messed up? Thank god that mountain was there to save you from falling off the cliff. I know that area very very well and you were lucky to say the least.

Eman, I dont know how many time you have to see this shit first hand to realize that your playing with your life here. Save it for the track. You should have been out there with us yesterday at Buttonwillow.

Please guys, use your senses, learn from our mistakes.

p.s. we had fixed his brakes before we went driving last night

I love driving spiritedly through canyons myself, it's the ultimate driving bliss bar none. But I never push my cars past it's threshold in unfamiliar territory, or If I haven completely learned the cars characteristics, glad to hear everyone is Ok;)

Not sure what year Jetta that is but you are probably looking upward $10K to repair your car. By the look of your right front fender, hood, and bumper cover, your front rail is twisted and swung over, major frame damage, plus all of the aftermarket parts, make sure you have a shop that is good with aftermarket parts repair the car.

we checked the frame it looked ok but we couldn't get the hood open so who knows how bad it will look under there.

I feel somewhat responsible for your accident. After I post about trying to organize a canyon run and being that Yorba Buena was going to me the main road meeting at Neptunes Net I feel that I enticed a practice run. Do you live in that area? Drive those roads often cause I live in thousand oaks and drive those roads religously. Too bad you wrecked I guess no more cruising for awhile. Sorry bout the crash!:'( :'( :'(

SpeedRacer
05-31-2003, 11:30 PM
i drive those roads all the time you should hit me up

Stupid is what stupid does!

What? He must be thinking he is Schumacher! C'mon... Driving aggressively on public roads especially at night is stupidility plus retarded to 100%! So what he had all those nice suspension components, it ain't a F2003GA!!! Served him right, he better learn!

If anybody really wants to test out how well his/her handles, please take it to a track where controlled environment reduces that kind of odds.

why they make you sit in their car? (maybe cause you were running around taking pics of everthing)
I just saw that car in the members area too.

Aiiiaiaiaiaiaiaiaiaiaiaia what a sad sight :(

The only shit like that around Houston is way to far out for me to even bother to attempt.....but I suppose thats alot more proper than getting rowdy on every 90 degree turn and doing 80 in every 30 mph exit ramp. Every exit ramp / hard turn I take fast I always have prior knowledge of how it turns before I can see it, so I technically win there. I've almost creamed a couple of cars coming up to a street kinda quick when taking 90 degree turns real fast....actually I clipped one a while back. Hmm maybe I should learn from this too.

Sorry bro!!! That looked like a really nice jetta, what was your mods? I can see that you got some nice suspension work going on...at least you're ok!!

p.s. is your car totalled?

I really liked that car too, it was looking so tight on that post the other week. The centerlines look sad. :'(

it doesnt look that bad to me, about $10k damage, maybe alittle more, like subliminal's.

i think that the most of the cost is going to be repairing the body kit, intercooler, and rims.

it seems like ti was a hard impact, but if it had been concrete, im pretty sure "Jeff" owuld be in much worse condition, maybe even worse.

thankfully, it can be repaired. hopefully, the jetta will live to see another day

good luck guy.

-Sticky Tires at night (when they're cold) +
-Overlystiff Suspension (anyone can see the setup in the pics) +
-Good Old VW Solid Rear Axle +
-Acting the Fool at Night on a Road you aren't familiar with=

Wrecking a Very Nice VW (that you apparently Didn't Deserve in the first place)

= PRICELESS

At least nobody was hurt, what if Bozo slid into a Minivan with some Young Kids in it

AT LEAST THE ONLY THING wrecked was that VW and his weak ass pride!

I don't take pleasure in the misfortune of others, but MAN, is it good to see crash pics from something other than an EP. I've seen too many dead EPs lately....:'(
