Yeah I remember that article from last year...

Haven't heard anything about it since. $2500 seems like a pantsload of money just to lower the suspension though!

And what's with the "upgrade" to 205/55ZR-15 tires? Since you're throwing that much money around, might as well go for at least 16"s!

yea i was wondering how old this article was......all the companies are going extra slow with these mods..but i guess that just means better products

I wrote them today cause I want my mugen mods:

To whom it may concern,

Recently, I've been looking into fixing the bump steer problem that I
have on my 2002 civic si. On searching the web, I ran across an article
that Car and Driver published last year March in which Scott Zellner of
King Motor Sports said that a suspension kit for the si was in
development. Since this article was published there has been no word on
these suspension modification being released for the ep3. Is this
product, along with the sway bar, still going to be released? I think
many ep3 owners are eagerly awaiting such upgrades as can be seen by
reading the forums on www.ephatch.com. Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,

Most suspension systems like that will run you at least that much. I'd have to have some serious track time to warrant spending that much on suspension. This kit is obviously meant for a serious racer...or somebody with lots of cash to burn.

Hello,

Thank you for your email. The Mugen 25 mm rear sway bar has been available
for quite some time. It is an easy bolt that really improves the handling of
the EP3.

Mugen has just released a suspension kit for the EP3. The price will be
$1000.00 for the complete set. This kit will address all bump steer issues.
We will publish specs on this kit on our website very shortly. We will have
these kits in stock in approx. 2 weeks.

Please let us know if you need further assistance.

Best Regards,

 :D great scott batman

A grand isn't to bad if it's a similar setup to the one mentioned in the C&D article.

Dude, what bump steer? What do you expect from driving on the street, ain't a race track!

Second, EP does not have wishbone which compensate for any change in road irregularities faster than Macpeherson struts.

Try driving a Maxima, you will know that our suspension is already one of the best in FWD.

all the things you just said make no sense.....please read a book on suspension

The Mugen suspension lowers the car 15mm, which is about 0.6 inches. Not very much of a change in height. You can see them at www.mugen-power.com, the japanese sight. :(

It lowers the Type R 15mm. The Type R is already 19mm lower than the Si.

15mm + 19mm = 34mm

34mm is just about 1.25"
