CheezeFrog on Honda-Tech uses that on his EK; there's a vid floating around of his hatch beating a 10 sec viper or something.

does three inch piping even fit on our cars? i got two (1/2?) inch piping, and the piping's already against the floor AND the trailing arm.

I think that thing looks pretty sweet.. I know that there have been MANY heated debates on the question of exhaust backpressure vs. a lack there of (reversion and all that stuff) and their affect on NA motors. In my experience with my hybrid, I had a (super ghetto) exhaust for about 2 weeks before I could afford the Thermal Exhaust for my car. The configuration was that the factory 1 7/8" exhaust flange was different from the B17a header flange. So I got the donut on the pipe, and got the factory exhaust to rest on the header. However when I gunned it the motor would twist on the mounts away from the pipe. Essentially I had 2 stage exhaust, it was quiet, and easy as long as you didnt really put your foot in it, but when you did it went to super loud open header. The fastest run that car ever posted was with that setup a 14.3. With the thermal on the car the fastest time I ever posted was a 14.6/14.7. Sure thats not too much of a difference on the coldest day, however the car NEVER went 14.3 again after the thermal...

So I think this thing might be a nice power adder to have on the track... Wonder if anyone ever did any dyno work on an NA car..

Just my .02...

thats actully called a electric dump or electric cutout. people have been using dumps for YEARS my grand dad had one on a coupe back in the 30s. there real popular with domestics and make a pretty decent addon.

Damn, expensive cut out. I'd just order a cast iron cut out from JCWhitney for $50, cable operated. Have it welded in. for another $20-$35. and done with it.

right, anyone can do that.
you'll just have to get under your car and remove the cap manually.
it's the cheap cable operated ones (JCW) that leak.
